구글 픽셀폰 국내 출시 소식입니다.

구글 픽셀6

구글이 국내 사업을 위해 구글 모바일 제품과 이동통신사 간 네트워크 연동과 검증을 담당할 인력도 채용한다고 하니 LG전자의 스마트폰 사업 철수로 발생한 국내 시장 공백을 구글이 비집고 들어올 것 같습니다.

 

다만, 현재까지는 구글에서 국내 이통3사에 스마트폰 출시를 직접 제안하지 않은 것으로 알려집니다.

 

구글 픽셀폰이 국내에 출시되더라도 시기는 내년 이후가 될 것으로 예상됩니다.

 

이제 막 인력채용을 시작했고, 구글이 올해 9월 이후 신형 스마트폰인 픽셀6를 출시할 예정이기 때문입니다.

Responsibilities

• Work with modem software team's functional leads on Modem software development, chipset, device-level performance, and carrier requirements
• Promote technical collaborations and bridge the technical gaps between teams in different locations
• Work with local vendors and solution providers to lead technical discussions on modem software and to minimize turnaround time
• Manage the technical risks and make technical decisions with technical leads

 

Minimum qualifications:

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 10 years of industry experience in cellular modem and algorithm development
• Experience with cellular modem software development, mobile phone implementation, LTE/5GNR PHY/MAC algorithms/specifications, or upper layer stacks
• Ability to speak and write in English and Korean fluently

픽셀6는 6.4인치, 90Hz OLED 디스플레이, 픽셀6 프로는 6.7인치, 120Hz 디스플레이를 탑재합니다.

 

또한 지문인식 센서는 화면 아래 위치합니다.

후면 카메라와 플래시 LED 등은 본체 뒤에 튀어나온 카메라 바에 달았습니다.

 

구글은 향상된 센서와 렌즈는 기존 정사각형 공간에 담을 수 없었다고 합니다.

 

퀄컴 스냅드래곤 시리즈를 써 왔던 기존 픽셀 스마트폰과 달리 이번에는 구글이 자체 설계한 스마트폰용 AP인 텐서(Tensor)를 탑재합니다.

텐서 설계에는 삼성전자가 상당 부분 관여했으며, 삼성의 엑시노스 모뎀 기술이 활용됐다고 알려집니다.
